Welcome to my Blog! Well, for the last few years, my favorite movie has been "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". When I got the incredible news that I would be working aboard the Norwegian Cruise Ship sailing the Greek Isles for two months, naturally my first thoughts were scenes from this hysterical movie. I wondered if like I-an Mil-ler, I would be navigating seas of lamb, kabobs and other meaty things in my search for some feta cheese and tzatziki!
I left my family's home in Washington, DC today to begin my long travel day abroad.

Got out of DC without a snag, the Metro and airport were pretty quiet.
Took a small turboprop to Boston and watched the queen flight attendant yell at the lady next to me who refused to turn off her iphone before the door closed. It was awesome. He was like, "I'm not going to tell you again ma'am..." all condescending and parental. She was about 50 years old. She snapped back "I'm not going to be spoken to that way." Then he swished up to the intercom and made a public announcement shaming her and it was everything! Go girl! ;)
Listened to some of the Teachings of Abraham on my mp3 played and drifted off to sleep as we entered the clouds... Woke up to queen attendant telling me to turn of my mp3 player since we were landing, lol. I made a big spectacle of obeying him immediately for my neighbor's sake. It was an act of solidarity.

I watched out the window at all the familiar sights of my childhood...the colonial homes, maple and oak trees, the coastal islands, the lighthouses...quintessential New England. Everything is old and in it's place and the natural beauty abounds. It really is a special and wonderful place. I'm also glad I don't live there anymore.

Here's the ship and the main showroom on board, The Stardust Theatre... wow!
I'm not totally sure how I'll stay connected via email and phone while I'm away, but trust and believe, I'll find the best way to do it! Just please don't text me while I'm gone, as I will get charged per text. Stick to Facebook, email, and voicemail until further notice!
I miss you all already and wish I could have packed you all up and taken you along for this wild adventure!
Talk to you in Venezia!
Ciao!
